We have got so used to the latest electronic devices being introduced to the market that we don’t stop to think twice before running the store to pay whatever they ask so that we can bring them home and try them out before others do so. As useful as these gadgets are, do we ever stop to think whether we can afford them or for how long we will be using them before the next gadget takes over and we decide that we want that as well? These electronic devices hardly have any second hand value and all we can do is throw it away or hide it in some place never to be used again. To be honest, isn’t that what happens to most of the equipment and stuff we buy with all enthusiasm and lose interest very soon?
This is no less due to so many new devices coming up one after the other with each being better than the last and having some extra feature that makes us think we just must have it. One of the latest such devices to make us go crazy is the iPad with its streamlined look, its many uses and apps not to mention the ease of carrying it around and the personal satisfaction of being known as someone who has the latest in electronic devices. Wouldn’t it be much better if we were to rent the iPad instead of buying it so that we don’t have to invest so much money we have no way of recovering? Louer iPad is what most people are doing today and with good reason too.
With each new iPad with better features being introduced time after time, what is one supposed to do? Throw out the old and go for the latest? It may be possible for some, but not for everyone because electronic gadgets such as computers, laptops and iTablets don’t sell for peanuts.
